Learning Designer

We are welcoming applications from experienced Learning Designers, who have a rich appreciation and understanding of pedagogy and adult learning principles.

You will be responsible for developing effective online learning across various units that reflect best practice, with a keen focus on optimising student learning outcomes.

If you have a teaching background and have worked in a classroom or education setting previously, combined with exposure to creating tertiary education learning material, this will set your application apart. Please note, this is an initial 12 month contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement effective and innovative online learning techniques
  • Create quality focused learner centred experiences
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to create resources and learning activities
  • Partner with specialists to create online tools to deliver a best practice online student experience
  • Regularly evaluate and analyse online practices and delivery methods
  • Contribute to a professional culture and working environment

The must have’s

  • A tertiary qualification in education is essential
  • Some experience creating, evaluating and delivering online content
  • A true understanding of Pedagogy
  • Experience with technologies and online learning management systems, such as Blackboard
  • Ability to adapt contemporary approaches to learner-centred, flexible education
