Our Academic Directors and Lead Learning Designers have senior experience within the university and private sector domains. We bring strategic knowledge of emerging education trends and alternative credentials globally to every partnership.
Following workshops with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs), we determine the pedagogical model and prepare a course blueprint. Content curation begins.
OES develops all learning content, activities and digital media in close collaboration with SMEs. We work in ‘sprints’ to efficiently manage storyboarding, drafting and recording, and prototyping of all digital media content.
We seek partner feedback across learning materials and design features at key touchpoints, ensuring accuracy and integrity. OES performs its own quality assurance process, which includes a rigorous set of reviews.
With the final course content ready to go live, it’s time to review and approve the high quality learning experience we have collaboratively produced.
Our expert learning design team constructs authentic assessments that align with learning outcomes and are underpinned by clear marking criteria. OES uses leading technology to design a range of online assessments, based on course requirements across all disciplines. We produce new materials or translate existing content to an optimal online format while retaining integrity and equivalence.

Auckland Online is part of the University of Auckland, one of the world’s top 100 universities (QS 2021). Leveraging our proven co-design process, OES delivered Auckland Online’s initial suite of postgraduate qualifications, as well as supporting tools to empower students to engage with the online environment.
Importantly, these initial qualifications provided the university with a best practice learning model to inform all future online approaches.
